Welcome: Prof. Xinning Zhang and Prof. Chun Wang

Musikforum Rheinland e.V. is delighted to welcome Prof. Xinning Zhang and Prof. Chun Wang from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing as new members of our artistic network.

With their extensive experience as pianists and distinguished educators, both professors bring valuable artistic and pedagogical expertise to Musikforum Rheinland while further strengthening musical exchange between China and Germany.

Prof. Xinning Zhang

Prof. Xinning Zhang is Professor of Piano, doctoral supervisor and Deputy Director of the Piano Department at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. With more than 30 years of teaching experience, she has trained numerous outstanding young pianists who have achieved remarkable success in major national and international competitions.

Alongside her teaching career, she has served extensively as a jury member at piano competitions in China and abroad. She has received numerous honours for her contributions to piano education, including the Steinway Honorary Professorship.

Prof. Chun Wang

Prof. Chun Wang is a pianist, Professor of Piano at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, and a Steinway Artist. He studied at the Central Conservatory of Music and the Manhattan School of Music in New York, combining an international performing career with more than two decades of dedicated teaching.

As a pianist, he has performed extensively in China and the United States, including three appearances at The Juilliard School in New York. As an educator, he has also achieved outstanding results, with his students receiving numerous prizes at national and international competitions.

With Prof. Xinning Zhang and Prof. Chun Wang, Musikforum Rheinland welcomes two highly experienced figures in Chinese piano education. Their participation reflects one of the central ideas behind our work: music as a bridge connecting people, cultures and different musical traditions.
